The Buxton Common

First visit to this place. Had heard good things so checked it out online and looked good. Not far from our home so made reservations for wife and I as well as our son. The place is an older house, very neat attractive with a nice homey country feel. Very well kept with a nice bar area and outside patio. There cocktails were excellent and they had a couple craft beers to choose from. We ordered chicken legs for one appetizer and the biscuits and cornbread for the other. I know, strange combo but would do it again. The biscuits were so good, we ordered 3 to take home for breakfast. The chicken legs excellent, surely get them again as well. My wife ordered a black bean burger which was excellent. She took part of it home. My son and I both ordered the tri-steak. It came with a cold potato salad and a very yummy charred veggie mix. We ordered our steaks rare and got to say they were over cooked and frankly not warm even. Everything tasted so excellent we surely didn't complain and assumed not the norm. We had a 3 course $34 special which included 3 choices of awesome desserts. Overall we were very happy and stuffed when we left. Given the tastes and prices, we surely will return. Service excellent, very friendly.

My wife had the rainbow trout and I had the southern hot chicken , we shared a dessert of flourless chocolate cake that was wonderful. Overall the dinner was superb as was the service.

Absolutely great staff and amazing food. Definitely recommend for a date night, although my kids love the food here also.

This was our first time here, the service was outstanding! I had the ribs, they weren't fall-off-the-bone ribs,my girlfriend had the burger and both were delicious. We would definitely return

Great food. Smoked wings were great. Kids loved the chicken sandwich. Only opportunity was maybe don't put the dip for the wings in the same container, as mine was totally melted which was a turnoff. Other than that it was outstanding!
