I was completely satisfied with my experience at this restaurant! The food had amazing quality ingredients, the prices were reasonable for the portion sizes, and everything tasted great. We spent $34 for two people, including tip, and shared a variety of dishes.
If you are a fan of sushi rolls like I am, you must check out this place! Saba Oshi sushi was incredible, possibly the best I have ever had. The Popcorn roll, despite its simple appearance, was surprisingly tasty. The Chicken yakisoba and chicken wing karage were also delicious. However, even though the cheesy cheesy roll and munch roll looked beautiful, they were a bit disappointing. I love cheese, but the cheesy cheesy roll was too greasy for my taste. The munch roll lacked that wow factor for me. Overall, the food and service were good. I plan on trying the volcano roll next time, as it looked amazing!
Sushi S is located in a busy mini mall located on the southwest corner of Willingdon and Moscrop. I’ve often passed by this location but steered clear due to how busy the crowded parking lot seems to get. The interior decor isn’t bad… it’s definitely not a hole-in-the-wall and it doesn’t feel overcrowded. It wasn’t overly busy when I visited at 6pm on a Wednesday but the parking lot fills up pretty quickly later on.
I’ve heard of Sushi S for a while but Grayson and I finally decided to go one day because well, we basically ate at every Japanese restaurant in central Burnaby already and this happened to be ONE of the rare ones we hadn’t been to. I never get nigiri but I was craving it but wanted sashimi so I decided to get a combo that allowed me to have both
