Bidra med feedbackI absolutely love this place! I wasn't sure if they had any unusual dishes, but the food was amazing. If you have the opportunity to try it, you won't regret it.
A friend recommended this place to me and after looking it up quickly, I was intrigued by this Asian-owned seafood boil restaurant on Hastings. We decided to order the seafood feast with crab and added on a side of pasta for an extra cost. When our crab boil was ready, the waiter brought it over and dumped the pot of seafood onto our table, placing a bucket on the side for our empty shells. They also gave us a wooden board, mallet for cracking the crab, and disposable gloves.
This restaurant is a great spot for groups of people or families. It is similar to the Crab Pot in Seattle, but without the long drive and use of American currency. When my family and I visited a few years ago, the kids enjoyed the unique experience of eating without utensils and plates. The food variety, including pasta, clams, mussels, sausages, corn, potatoes, and crab, was to everyone's liking. The highlight for the kids (and adults) was the complimentary frozen dessert at the end of the meal, with flavors like lychee, pear, coconut, and mango. Two Combo B orders were more than enough for our family of four. During a recent visit with friends, we found that 8-9 Combo B orders were sufficient for 12 adults. The service was prompt with water refills and napkin requests, and we were able to finish our meal within 1.5 hours. It's recommended to make a reservation or arrive early due to the small size of the restaurant. There is ample parking available behind the restaurant and on the street.
If it wasn't so dull and cheaply decorated, I would have frequented this place a lot more. The food is great, ample seafood with pasta and tasty spicy sauce.
Went for Mother's Day dinner. Place was packed. Had to wait about an hour before food arrived. Good thing we ordered appys. Calamari and yam fries were delicious. Ordered three crab combos. Food was very tasty with their everything sauce. The mild spicy tasted a lot better than no spicy. Eating off the table was a unique experience! Definitely not a first date restaurant eating with hands and spitting out crab shells lol. Would recommend to friends just for the experience. Don't go if you are in a rush, kitchen is slow if busy!
