Isami Sushi - Burnaby

They must be doing something right no? Looks like a family operated joint; the sushi chef and waitresses speak Japanese. Torn with the rating as the nigiri was really good but the tempura was a bit on the slim cut side and hence my waist...was still hungry for more. The chicken karage came with only 5 cute pieces and salad. Again, my waist was wanting more. I will go back to try the sashimi next time. So close to 4 or even 5....

This is some of the best sushi in Burnaby. Such good food. The chefs are Japanese and Produce Foods authentically. Moderately priced but worth every penny. If you get a chance sit at the sushi bar and you’ll have a good conversation with the owner...Sami

I don't like pseudo Japanese food because it scares me. This is a family business with good authentic food. Everyone is immediately welcomed by pleasant staff. We were served immediately, although it was pretty busy. Orders were taken and we didn't have to wait for our delicious food for a long time. I feel safe to eat sushi here because they have competently trained sushi dishes. We've been here for years and have never been disappointed.

I went there to eat with friends and so disappointed exhausted our food was mixed. The waiter didn't say what record he was serving, then my friend had my food and I can't eat. It should say what the record is... they serve and we waited long before they came and asked what you want to drink. The food is fresh, but the service was just terrible experience. This restaurant does not recommend and will not come back.

The food I thought I ordered in the picture and what I actually got. Great disappointment in appearance and taste. Generally, all reels are over price for what they are. I thought I'd try a new sushi restaurant, I'm not gonna... order them again and again.
