Bidra med feedbackBest personal hot pot place in Vancouver. The thing that sets those place apart from the others is the freshness of the ingredients. The seafood hadn't been frozen. The portions are also huge.
Price has been increased more than 30%, it's getting real expensive. Food still taste good and services are great, just won't be coming as often now. Edit: To add some examples to my review, I'm pretty sure most customers order combos. So a Rib eye 7oz combo that used to cost $15.95, is now $24. The Prime rib 7oz combo that used to cost $24.95, is now $33, not sure how that is 10 20% increase.
Always very busy for dinner but less busy for happy hour from 9-10PM (close). Increased their menu prices the last time I went back but now the price includes soup, drink, and carb choice (before it was add $5). I always get the chicken broth instead of adding money for a different soup base because it tastes good and you are boiling your protein choice anyway. Recommend getting only 7oz because it is quite large and you do not want to waste it at this price. I prefer the winter melon tea as my drink but the milk tea is also good. It tastes like Hong Kong milk tea. I do not recommend the fish even though it was presented very nicely. Maybe I overcooked it but it was not very smooth when eating. I tried cooking it for less time but then it had a fishy taste. Everything else is good and I always get very full. Make sure you ask for a punch card when you pay so you get $20 off when you fill up your card. You cannot stack the $20 off with the 10% off during happy hour.
Fresh ingredients, attentive service, and good portion for what you pay. I'd say expect to spend $32-45 /person by getting the combo, which gets you soup base, your choice of protein, rice or noodle, unlimited drinks, and veggies/tofu/fish balls for your hotpot. You can add-on more items to it, but I got the 7oz blade steak combo with signature spicy soup base and I was so full I couldn't even finish the rest of the veggie plate. This place can get real busy though. We arrived at 7PM on a Saturday night and had to wait for an hour to get in. So arrive early, put your name down, and walk around. They'll text you when your table is ready. People really take their time eating here so it's a pretty slow turn-around. If you can't decide which soup base to pick, look for the crown symbol. Those are the most popular ones : And you can specify the level of spiciness, too. I like to go with wintermelon juice for my drink option since it's refreshing without being too heavy like milk tea, so it doesn't fill me up even more but helps to cut down the spiciness. At least for me, drinking anything like milk tea is too filling. If you're soup base evaporated too quickly, they can top it up with more soup. All and all, I'll definitely come back again.
My bestie and I love this place. This time we came right at open (5pm and got the happy hour deal! And didn?t have to wait, they always refilled our drinks and soup without even having to ask. Amazing service and food! Such a perfect meal on a cold day! Our go to hotpot place : Thanks again to all the great staff!
