Bidra med feedbackMy friend, who often dinest here, insisted that I try to eat her. there is so much to choose, the manager are happy to help them navigate the menu. the service is warm and personal, the restaurant can be very busy based on the time of the day....Great location only at the entrance of the metrotown mall. if they are more frequent, they will receive additional discounts with their frequent diner program. I'm back!
It is about 8 years ago, since I last patronat fortune house located in metrotown mall. I remember that I remember my first experience in 2010 to admire and enjoy the elevated atmosphere and the facility of space. When you came in, you knew that you were probably a good tasty bite. I don't remember exactly what was ordered – there were a few articles – but an article is in my memory. it was the deepthroat fried crab claw filled with minced garnel. when it was presented to us, I remember being almost awe-struck by something so simple as elegantly plating. it was a solid for the eyes and the mouth. the beautiful exterior curvature was complemented by the plentiful garnels underneath. 2 elegant claws, 1 great appetizer. but that was then. a lot can happen in the span of 8 years. how well did the fortune house stop? well, my first impression remained positiw. despite the time travel, the fortune house remained as busy as ever; However, there was no long “2 hours waiting” as people have claimed elsewhere. in contrast, our party was almost immediately sat. service was efficient, but struck me as quite distant. to be generous, I will give them the advantage of the doubt as it was quite busy. the table was beautiful – classic Chinese – with the white tablecloth and the raised vibe. However, I pointed out that the intermediary years were not friendly to the tablecloths. ours were flown in many areas and even had small cracks. in a restaurant that is proud of elegance, this kind of dingen tend to appreciate the experience. when it came to order, we decided to get a series of different articles to satisfy everyone in our party. we ordered some dimm-sum classics (jumbo har gow, steamed shrimp scallop dumplings, steamed prawn rice rolls and sticky rice); the braided halibut hotpot; golden yolk custard lava rolls; mango pudding; and of course the deep-fried crawls filled with hacker garnel. I felt the sum was very good. the jumbo ha chew contained whole garnel pieces that showed an appealing moist snap – a clear sign of the right cooking and fresh. the steamed castors were of similar quality, but I found the outer casts a little on the thick side, at least in comparison to other dim-sum facilities in the city. the sticky rice was a highlight for me. the rice was served hot, moist and contained a good ratio of pork and garnelen to rice. the deep-fried crawling claw was just as I remembered – the presentation was good and there were plenty of garnel to crawl. but the star court had to be the braided healbutt hotpot. with a delightful satay sauce, the delicate healed has been prepared and, above all, not overwhelmed or overwhelmed by the wobbles and other sweets served in a pot; Rather, this highly sought-after fish was left to shine. I'd almost be willing to say that this healed all the others overshadowed on order and those desserts? they were good, sweet and quirky. I have really appreciated the effort that goes into the mango pudding koi fish; but I will probably be dessert about future visits if only to reduce the final bill. food: 4/5 service: 3/5 value: 4/5 recommended: the house has been delighted by the guests for almost 30 years. After I came to visit here after such a long abnormality, I can see how and why they continue to thrive in the metrotown mall. eating is of very good quality both in terms of presentation and taste. the service is a bit economical. is fortune house the best place for dimsum/Asian cuisine in the city? I doubt it, but I can see that it makes someone “top 10” quite easy. recommended! ps: if you found this review on some way helpful, please click on the helpful button!
Average food quality, excellent service, steep prices. ambience was good, though a bit dated.
Bbq swarms with crispy top shell like pineapple beer top. genius mango pudding in the form of fish. also egg cakes were good. felt rolls had too much to garnish and could also have contained green tweepers. beef balls were good
Whenever we go to a restaurant all we need to do to judge the place is by how much and quickly the kids eat. The food portions in this place are big but the quality of cooking could do with some work. The fried rice...and veg were ok but the soups .... how difficult is it to make good soup?
