Wimpy's Diner - Burlington

First check. I told our server that we have a little time, she had our orders in and food on the table in about 15 minutes. Burger was decent, nothing special, Fries were great! If you like thick hot pommes!... They were a little understated, but it was a Thursday night. If I want a quick burger... I'm going back.

I was looking for a new place for the Bro's and I for our annual Christmas breakfast. Had the daunting task to look for a Burlington location that would be convenient for us all and that had quite decent reviews and many parking spaces. With Amazon reviews go thick and thin and go through belly feeling and it worked like a charm. This year we brought our adult children who haven't seen each other long and we could get two stands for the 8 of us at 10 a.m. A nice couple heard our conversation and offered to move for us to another stand... so nice of them. Right on the bat the young waitress began with a nice greeting and smile and set the positive mood the whole way thru, even if the place was busy for the holiday morning feast before shopping. The coffee was always up, the meals were served in a timely way and they did not over what you paid. I love seeing a full plate, and today I was a happy camper. All cousins had a great time together with the adults, so today was a great start to the day. The food was great without complaints, and the service.. we couldn't be happier. Not every day I can't be perfect, but as far as we are concerned, we'll be back to the same place next year, for the first time without looking for somewhere else. Thanks, guys!

I went to a diner for a quick lunch today and had a strange experience. When I entered, I saw several empty tables piled high with dirty dishes. Another customer ahead of me left in frustration. A woman in a dirty Wimpy's uniform then offered me her table after she finished her coffee. I was confused and still am.

When I cook eggs at home, I never have to worry about them being too oily or slippery. Unfortunately, the eggs at this restaurant were overcooked and lacked flavor. The bacon was cooked in a deep fryer, resulting in a wonderfully crispy texture. The fries had a burnt taste, which was disappointing. The server appeared more focused on their phone than on the customers, but the server with curly blond hair and glasses was exceptional and provided great service.

I decided to give their breakfast a try after enjoying their dinners in the past. It did not disappoint. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the decor had a nostalgic feel. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. I ordered eggs, home fries, toast, and bacon, and there was plenty of bacon to go around. The only thing I would change is that I prefer my bacon a little less crispy, but overall it was very good.
