Stone Soup Cafe - Burleson

Don't get me wrong, this place serves great sandwiches. However, they keep raising prices in a town that is already overpriced, and being locally owned, there's really no justification for it other than greed. You're looking at a minimum of $10 for a small sandwich, and heaven forbid you want a cup of soup. A meal with a drink will set you back at least $20 per person. It seems like they just don’t care.

My 90-year-old mom visits this restaurant twice a week for a sandwich and cheddar broccoli soup, and she absolutely loves it! Despite some ups and downs, they even deliver to her when needed. She often tells me how much she enjoys the food. Thank you, Stone Soup, for looking after my mom while I’m out of town!

This restaurant is the ideal fusion of a tea room and a deli. Each of their sandwiches is packed with generous portions of meat (around 4-6 slices), and the bread is incredibly soft! For vegetarians, their veggie sandwich is loaded with delicious mushrooms and bell peppers that will make you forget all about meat. The highlight for me is definitely their potato salad; I never thought a side dish could be so good that you'd want it as your main course. The broccoli cheese soup is also very hearty and pairs perfectly with the sandwiches. Plus, every sandwich comes with a delightful little bite-sized cookie!
