Kuta Beach - Burleigh Waters

Kuta Beach is known as one of the longest and safest beaches in Bali. Unlike other beaches, there is no entry fee required. The beach is almost level with the street, so there is no need to climb stairs like on other beaches in Bali. Along Kuta Beach Road, you will find luxury hotels and convenience stores. The beach offers a variety of activities such as water sports, surfing, and swimming. The gradual slope of the beach makes it perfect for swimming. There are many surfing schools where enthusiasts can take lessons. Cheap drinks and food can be found at the numerous small kiosks along the beach. We dined at one of these kiosks and enjoyed delicious fried rice for 25,000 IDR.

From the moment you walk through the door, you are transported to another place. The selection of food is exceptional and the staff is more than willing to customize your meal to your liking. I would highly recommend trying it out.

The menu was hard to read due to a combination of small type and bad lighting, so we were forced to only read the simplest items. We ordered a mixed entrée with three skewers, which was great, but unfortunately the skewers were brought to the table before we had even finished our entrée. The beef curry only had five small pieces of meat, although it tasted good, I didn't order just a bowl of sauce. Perhaps our friends who ordered the bark dish ended up with our missing meat? The other two dishes were good, with the cured due standing out as the most delicious. It contained an appropriate amount of meat in the sauce. Dessert was a favorite of ours, sticky rice and custard, but they managed to get it wrong. The rice was lumpy and the custard had a paper-like consistency. It seemed like the whole thing had been reheated in a microwave, as some parts were cold while others were only somewhat warm. The only positive aspect was that the bill accurately reflected the quality of the meal.

I came here with low expectations, but remained elitist. the stallout was the sattehun. it's been a past since I had sattes hawn that was so well cooked that the hawn almost melted out of the stock, let alone the spicy erdnus sauce that. is tricky difficult to get right. the Bintang beer I washed with was the right thing to remember the beach sharks in bali. we also tried the meat beef rendang, which was in a beautiful rich and complex curry. I will definitely go back here if only to try her booze!

The food here is very good and authentically Indonesian with a Javanese influence. Be prepared to wait a bit especially if the restaurant is busy. The soto ayam chcken soup is great and if I am ever feeling a little 'under the weather '...this is a great fortifier. The beef rendang and curry ayam (chicken) are very good and their pungent 'belado ' preparations nice and authentic (terong telor). I also enjoy the lemongrass battered chicken and the otak otak fish cakes.The restaurant is very big and can seat dozens but it is generally fairly quiet during the week. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
