Bidra med feedbackI traveled with friends for a weekend at the Gold Coast to celebrate a 60th birthday party. We decided to have a meal at Burleigh Waters Tavern. The food was excellent, reasonably priced, and the service was great. We also couldn't complain about the view from the upper balcony, which was beautiful.
I am extremely disappointed in this restaurant. My friends and I have been loyal customers since we moved to Sydney 3 years ago. We arrived at around 6:35pm, hoping to grab some scotch and beer, but no one answered the doorbell. Another customer who wanted to buy from the bottle shop also knocked on the door, only to be told that they were closed and no longer providing service. We tried to explain that we just wanted to use the bottle shop, but we were told to read the sign on the door stating that they were closed. It is unfortunate that they have permanently closed for me and my friends, as we always enjoyed coming here for a drink. It is sad that the staff, Helen and another person working that night, who knew us, were not more accommodating to our needs. Despite the potential for us to spend around $80, they did not seem interested in taking care of our business. It is a shame to see such a decline in service from a place we once held in high regard.
Meals are excellent and very valuable. good outside spaces for resting. drinks were cold and excellent.
Not a bad place at first. Staff very boring, attitude boring, dress code scruffy. Lunch was good a little slow but tasty. Drinks slow to be served and didn't even know how to make a vodka, lemon and lime pft
I received something totally different than what was shown on the pictures in the menu. The lamb was fried and the meat of poor quality, more skin and cartilage than actual meat. The salad was without oil/vinegar or any other sauce. The mushroom sauce costed...2$ extra, although it should have been part of the dish. At least the french fries were good : ' . With 18$ too expensive for what I got...
