Burgaw Fish Fry

Worst food ever. Idk what I was expecting but it tasted like very old frozen food. Completely over priced.

It says they close at 9. I walked in 8:10 pm on friday, april 1st was told if i didnt have a call-in order that the dinning room closed 8pm. Theres no ending time on the doors, just when they open. Ive been here before they closed at 9.

I asked how many oysters come with their oyster dinner and was told ten. So I ordered a oyster and popcorn shrimp combination. Luckily I did not get 10 oysters. These were the worst oysters I've ever eaten. They were overcooked and had too much breading. When I tasted it I actually thought that had given me the wrong product and it was some kind of crab. But I broke one and a half that was indeed an oyster. Popcorn shrimp had also too much breading to. Like one of the prior reviews. It was not worth $19 and are much better options around the area. The Best thing I got there was the French fries.

Food was pretty good, I had a shrimp platter. Service was ok because there was only 1 waitress.

The food was okay. The shrimp taco was the bestAll of the seafood that was fried pretty much all tasted the same. The scallops ended up being rubbery. The restaurant itself is filthy. I'd probably be willing to try the food again since it could be an off day but it looks like the restaurant hasn't been cleaned since it was HWY 55.
