Great little chub chay spot, fresh food and good variety. Good price for money
If you 're vegetarian or even vegan, this may be your only hope to survive over rice and noodles in this traditional, almost exclusively meat-oriented part of Vietnam. The restaurant is family owned and operated by Buddhists, so it is their prerogative not to store animal products. A vegan could not seem to be over as milk or eggs in the food made here. Even my celiac friend was written at once he showed his celiac card in Vietnamese. A young man under the name 'Tom' in his 20s 30s and part of the family helped us to communicate with his very basic English with the older family members, the food from behind the counter. They do not speak a word of English here, so his help was greeted only to forget to speak slowly. At worst, maybe you could point out things and they get the Gist from what you are. As it works, enter the restaurant that is the left half of the building (the right half is a business). Order on the counter on the left where you can see cooked food behind the glass. You serve your dish or bowl to give you what you take on every table. Sit where you will find spoons, forks, hops, tissue, and a number of spices... enjoy your little slice of the vegetarian Vietnamese sky. Once you're done, you pay in cash at the table on the branch side directly opposite the food counter. My basic meal of rice, boiled greens and bamboo textured like meat cost 15,000 dong, approx. $0.0, which is ridiculously cheap as I was almost full. Not too bad tasting, although I had to stack some times on the Hoisin sauce. My friend said the Pho here was delicious and was recommended if you like soup noodles. With a serious lack of options and a slightly inconspicuous name, they hold a monopoly on the veggie restaurant scene, so it is easy to overlook the lack of modernity and communication problems. Overall, however, essential survival and therefore recommended.
One of the few places to eat in Buon Ma Thuot when you are vegetarian. The food is very good value for money, and there is much to choose. My favorite dish was definitely the Pho.
I lived in Vietnam as a vegan for six years and was probably close to hundreds of different chay restaurants throughout the country. While everyone has their own taste, this place has shaken my world. While in any case southern style, the vegetables we all super fermented and sour in their own unique way. This was one of my favorite chay experiences by far. But I have to pull out a star because we were treated extremely rudely when we just asked: 'có csch ch lega?' First, the older lady ignored us completely and when I asked again, she reacted furiously to serving rice, but her job was the noodles. Okay... I didn't want you to get me rice just when dinner is served. Really flabbergasted and disappointed, because otherwise this is the best chay place I found, especially in BMT, which seems quite mediocre compared to nearby Quy NhANGn and Đà Lút.
