Bidra med feedbackCame for my anniversary and was blown away. Food was great, service was great. The onion leaves were amazing and their homemade zesty sauce was primo. My husband had the Black n Bleu Burger and I had the Stinger Mac n cheese. Best Mac I ever had! Will try again and again so many more Macs
I really enjoyed Mooneys! I love their macaroni lobster macaroni and cheese and their pulled pork sandwich! I will definitely eat there again!
Ordered a couple of drinks while waiting for our son's hockey game, bartender was friendly and efficient. The only downside was the wait for our to go order, we ordered three hoagies and it took almost 50 minutes which surprised us as neither the bar or dining room were particularly busy. Still good food and service from the young lady behind the bar.
We enjoyed chips, fries, and some other appetizers. The chips were crisp and delicious. The food we ordered was great, especially the chicken fingers; they were crispy rather than soggy. They arrived at our table without sauce, but when I requested medium sauce, our server brought it promptly. The chicken fingers were served with blue cheese and celery. The grilled cheese had a generous amount of well-cooked bacon, although the bread itself didn’t stand out. The beer selection was varied and interesting, and I was thrilled to find UFO Blueberry available. The restaurant has a spacious open dining area decorated for Christmas, and there’s plenty of parking right in front. The location is also convenient, just before the highway exit on Union.
I can’t deny that this place serves the best macaroni and cheese on the East Coast. I haven’t found anything better anywhere else. On Wednesday evening, the restaurant was quite busy, but the mac and cheese was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend trying the “Three Little Pigs” dish—it’s delicious! However, I would advise skipping the Hog Wings. They were boiled and dry, and they arrived nearly 25 minutes after my mac and cheese. They were also much smaller than I remember. The waitress mentioned they were still being prepared, but once they arrived, it was clear they were just overcooked. They used to be fantastic, which is unfortunate. I won’t be ordering them again, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. But definitely order the mac and cheese! If you're visiting Buffalo, skip the Anchor Bar and Duffs, and head to Mooney for macaroni and cheese!
