Bidra med feedbackTurns to a special 5 course menu. It was fun a delicious, but it took them too long to go through them all the way. But my partner Jessica loved it.
Beautiful, picturesque little restaurant is located a bit away from the main tourist areas in the neighborhood of Parque Chacabuco. Style of food was classic Porteño with a twist and added something special to the dish. Beef was great. Between us, we enjoy cuts of Picaña, Entraña and Lengua. All were delicious and well presented. Distributed Entradas (Starter) by Copito, a kind of mezze with a viewed eggplant, tomatoes, paprika and lengua with a plate of delicious mojella (Gland) accompanied by a kind of Korean spicy dressing. V nice! Wines were excellent and not your typical selection with a personal attention and recommendation from the excellent waiter. The prices were around 800 pesos per capita, but this included the appetizers two bottles of wine and one from champagne/brut to toast with bottles of water. A little extravagant and with a little less alcoholy pleasure, you could probably use these up to 500 pesos per capita, which is extremely good in BAs for the quality of foods and the excellent personal attention. Please try to visit this place as it is worth the extra taxi price.
Expect the unexpected. Not much to see and out of the way. Unique dishes influenced by local traditions. Many homemade sauces produce interesting and new flavors. Can't wait to return with friends, hopefully very soon.
Great food, better selection of wines not found in a simple but charming, intimate atmosphere at extremely affordable prices. The real old BA outside the fake Palermos (I lost how many new Palermos there are). Especially, Javier, the owner, is a...trip worth the trip to his place.
With only two reviews on TripAdvisor at the time, we were a bit hesitant about Urondobar but it was highly recommended by our friend Dan Perlman. It was a great surprise and a wonderful find. We were looking to try some authentic Argentinian cuisine and...the two of us had an excellent meal following our warm welcome. The pork tenderloin was the best I’ve tasted anywhere and the blended flavors of the seasonal vegetables were mouthwateringly delicious. My wife, who loves lamb, also had one of the best lamb dishes ever. It’s not on the tourist trail so it doesn’t seem to be known much outside of its neighborhood – but well worth the visit!
