Salvador Grill Bar - Buenos Aires

We went this road trying to find a good place with good meat, and we decided to give an attempt to this place; I have to say we really enjoyed the meat, excellent food, service and price, we actually ended up going back the next day... eat again there. The best meat ever.

Dreadful food, which does not relate to what you order and made me with food poisoning. The employees were undisputed that we were deceived from the beautiful terrace. There are so many good restaurants you don't need.

We arrived relatively early, like some other diners, and the service took a while to go for all of us. Our first selection of ribs was not available, apparently due to lack of BBQ sauce, so we had pork chops to share with ham, peas and roasted potatoes. We couldn't stop the court between us. The orange juice claims to be freshly squeezed, but I might be surprised if that were the case. Basically, it was a little disappointment, and I'm sure there are better places to dine in Buenos Aires.

Early evening in Palermo looking for a nice outdoor area to have a drink and maybe a small bite. Many outdoor seats available so that we asked inward whether we could sit and the host said no, we didn't have a waitress outside .... I suggested that I order at the bar and take the drinks outside what they said right. Once I got the attention of the bartender, I asked for a wine list through the glass and was told that they had white and red. So I ordered a white and a red and a bottle of water. The bartender told me to sit outside and deliver the drinks. He didn't mention it. After a waiting period and I returned to the bar to ask the drinks again, they were delivered to us. A white and a red... no water. I just asked for the water to say that they had given it to another table because they could not say the difference between Americans. (Funny, the table that got the water were Australians) We drank our wine, which was quite terrible, and decided to continue.

I ordinarily try and give a balanced opinion of somewhere but with this place, I cannot think of a single positive. So frustrating this was one of our experiences in a city famed for its cuisine. We waited half an hour before they finally brought...our drinks, about 1.5 hours for our food and the staff were entirely uninterested. We paid the same amount for dinner in our favourite steak restaurant in BA which made the experience even more bitter. We order a mixed grill and despite our appetites following the significant wait, the meal was largely inedible!
