Bidra med feedbackMy wife and I came at 3:00 for a late lunch (as you do. This place was from the time we arrived until we left about 90 minutes later, so the custom is steady. Many locals, according to all accounts. We had a young girl who served us, and we went for the actions that were the principle of vino Postre Café (especially good deal, right? . My wife's chicken carving was amazingly huge while my pork medallions were a bit overcooked and dry, but probably ok. The wine was great. But after a while, we noticed that the waitress had gone and an older guy was working the waiting job. Terrible. Only no service. It took an age to clarify our plates and seemed afraid to talk to us. After all, our coffee order took, but after that there was no mail. So I went up to the bar to ask, and got a pretty empty look until I pointed it out in the menu, and we got a few plates of tasteless flan with no accompaniment, i.e. they could not be disturbed. My advice as last resort...
I had calf and my wife had the Cannelloni. The vein was hard like leather and came in a sauce that had zero taste. The Cannelloni was not wrapped in pasta, but in a crepe that was then immersed in a white sauce. It was enjoyable, but not pleasant. I suffered through every bite. In a city with so many great options, this place is one you run from. As someone can have cooked it and sees himself as a cook, is beyond me. Just terrible.
We spent 6 nights in Buenos Aires and this café was just steps from our Airbnb. We enjoyed breakfast every morning. Coffee was excellent, croissants fresh and freshly pressed OJ We also gedimt for dinner for several evenings. The food was fantastic and cheap. Staff spoke little English and we spoke less Spanish, but they helped us navigate the menu and treated like a long-term local. If you want to feel like a local, this is the place to go.
A restaurant with tables outside and on the pavement. Menu in English. Cheese ham and tomato sandwich recommended, but specify whether it is roasted or not. Some specials available from Softdrink plus Sandwich. Good selection of cold beers and other drinks. Recommended
Pasadena is a new favorite and a Go to lunch spot in Recoleta. Smallish bar/restaurant at Guido 1705 offers excellent daily specials with a focus on homestyle cooking, and an alternative to nearby Rodi Bar, with offerings that include rump roast with oven roasted potatoes or grilled pork loin with plum sauce. Good coffee and flan solo with unrushed service, inside or al fresco.
