Bidra med feedbackThe food and service in Morrina Portena are excellent. It is fine food without the pretentious surrounding. The mixture of Argentine food and Spanish (Galicia, Catalunya... leaves nothing to be desired. Large seafood in Argentina is a rarity. Here it is in her blood. I had Argentine steaks in many BA restaurants and that's as good as everyone. The service is top-notch, provided by career waiters who are masterful and polite.
We had a nice lunch, starting with a Spanish tortilla (omelette), then a seafood patella...both very generous portions even if divided. Pleasant enclosed terrace for dinner if you choose outside and not for the dining room.
My Bf brought me to San Telmo at my first visit to Bs As. We decided to try this new place that looked very good. But this is the only thing Morriña Porteña does well. The outside seats were too warm... in the height of January, but the interiors were discreet and cool. We had to ask for a wine list, our server was even less familiar with the menu than we were, and the food was badly made and badly presented... culminated in raw chicken! When we complained to the waiter, he took it away to show it to the cook. But the court still appeared on our bill, because we ate most of it. Only after they complained about it a discount was requested. There is too much competition in San Telmo and Buenos Aires for a facility with such poor consistency and inflated prices to stay in business for a long time.
The food is very fresh and excellent. Well prepared to improve seafood and fish taste! You feel like you were in Galicia for a while! Very recommended for sapanic food lovers and traditions!
Excellent food, great service, pleasant atmosphere, fair prices. What else can you ask for? We shared a tapa and then a seafood dish. There was plenty to eat. The waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable about the food of Galicia.
