Flor de Ceibo - Buenos Aires

I booked a reservation here based on a recommendation from my Airbnb host and could not have been happier. That was just my favorite dinner on my trip to Argentina. My partner and I were the only two foods that night, so we basically had a private tasting menu with Koch Martin and his wife. The courses consisted of: Amuse Bouche von roquefort Brot Beets, Microgreens, orange, celery, pomegranate, green tea Espuma Braised Fenchel, Wacholder Gastrique, Squash puree, gnocchi Catch of the day with mojo sauce, pistachios potatoes and grilled bananas Mussels, Sauvignon blanc, apples, cuts The food was fresh (whatever was available in the markets this day), and each course consisted of many complex flavors and a variety of textures. My favorite courses were the gnocchi, which were so fluffy and tasty, the catch of the day (can not remember what fish we ate), which had a lot of taste and was nicely plated, the shells (Broth was tasty), the bife de chorizo (in Argentina after all), which was actually a medium rare in contrast to what was served us at the upper parillas, and probably my favorite chocolate. The wine pairings fit very well with the courses, and you can say that many thoughts are put in the menu. When I return to Buenos Aires, I will definitely return for another meal at Martin's. Did I mention that the price is amazing? Finally was said and done I think we pay about $60 per for a private tasting menu experience.

Definitely the best vegan food I had in Buenos Aires! Flavors are challenging, playing beautiful, chefs are just super! Will be back! You change the menu every month. They offer an omnivorous menu, but take inquiries for vegan and vegetarian menus! The wine repair was great... too!

The food was the best food we had in Buenos Aires since we were here. Martin was a great host and an even better cook! He's English was almost as amazing as his food. You have to get the wine couples because they were divine and went perfectly with the food. His sou cook was beautiful and very friendly, and her home was beautiful. Flor de Ceibo was definitely an experience to remember that I would recommend for locals and tourists alike!

We have registered for a meal in Flor de ceibo based on the reviews on this page; I can give a rousing confirmation that these reviews were on site. The evening was just wonderful. Martin made us feel like we had an intimate dinner with friends, although the other six people around us were totally strangers. His introductions to each course were interesting and charming – and he gave them generously in English and Spanish. As far as food is concerned, well, there were some of the best we ever had, and we thrived in some exceptional restaurants around the world. Martin is a star on the rise. Make a reservation soon before it is discovered and becomes an international feeling.

I stumbled across a review of Flor de Ciebo while researching restaurants before a recent trip to Buenos Aires. I thought it would be something fun and different to try and a good way to meet some locals. I'm so glad we did it ...turned out to be the highlight of our time in BA. Martín and his wife are very welcoming and both are incredible chefs. I was amazed at the quality of the food that they were able to produce from their tiny kitchen! Each course was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. For those with light appetites, skip lunch and save room for this meal you'll want to make sure you can make it through to dessert! Though it is a set menu, which you can preview in advance, Martín was great about accommodating dietary restrictions. We also did the wine pairing, which I highly recommend. Martín really knows his wines and each one was perfectly paired to the dish. Since we spoke little Spanish, Martin explained each of the courses in English and helped us get to know the other guests, all who were Argentinian, but who spoke at least some English. It was a very friendly group and we enjoyed getting to know everyone. If you're looking for great food in a welcoming atmosphere and are open to meeting new people, this is a great way to go. I would give them 6 stars if I could!
