Bidra med feedbackDuring my stay of 3 months in buenos aries 2019-2020 my first visits in el rincon led to a very large bife de chorizo at the price of the smaller steak. I came to believe that this was the new normality. the next...Visits I was served what I would call a normal size steak, so thought the first two were mistakes to my gunsten. Note that the normal size steak is sufficient for most people. now the conundrum comes on the other day and tonight I was served very large steaks at the smaller steak price. they were also cooked to my specifications (medium rare) by making the waiter muy jugoso and sometimes say muy jugoso big jugoso juicy steak (bife de chorizo here corresponds to a new york strip in the usa), great prices (steak costs just over $6us at dolar blue exchange rates), great service, what more could they ask? now there are those people who demand a chic elegant environment and they should go somewhere. this is a down to the first quarter of parilla, most of the native served. the tourist resorts are only 1/2 block on the road, but somehow the people who visit this place overlook this big steak house.
We found this right around the corner of our hotel in the vicinity of the friedhof of recoleta. small, charming with super friendly staff. we were the week in ba and almost every night came here....our favorite place!
This was a great lunch place in recoleta very close to the recoleta. this felt like a place where we were the only tourist to eat during our lunchtime, in which everyone else seemed to be local men on their lunchtime break. it was not too slow, and for the prices seemed good quality and service. we had the back and the steak, both on the daily specialties and enjoyed both.
Food was mediocre and nothing special. Wouldn't have bothered with a review, but felt obliged after they charged us an additional 40% for a table charge and to switch fries for salads on the menu del dia, even though they are the same price when...ordered a la carte. We spoke to the waiter in Spanish, and this was the first time we've been ripped off during 2+ months of travel in Argentina and Chile. Would recommend taking your business elsewhere.
Love this authentic place frequented by locals in Recoleta. Food was excellent we had the ribeye steak and the arroz con mariscoes (rice with seafood, which is their version of paella for one person). Our server was great and also very patient despite the...fact we couldn't speak English! Highly recommended.
