Croque Madame - Callao - Buenos Aires

Was curious about this chain of restaurants and decided to go for lunch to try. The menu of the day ordered. Bread was delicious. The rissoto... I just couldn't eat it, it was melted cheese with chickens... I ate the chicken and left the risotto. Service was friendly, waitress couldn't understand that I didn't eat anything. Guess that the cheese is better for locals, but that's not a risotto.

Earlier this week we had a bad experience in the Croque Madame in Pueyrredon: It began with a dirty table scattered by crumbs from the dirty tray of waiters and with water without gas instead. After our water had changed, we noticed that the opened bottles of still water were resealed surreptic... presumably for sale to other customers. We waited a very long time for our Croques Monsieur and, when they arrived, we noticed a strange mix of bechamel with cheese on the surface: When researching with a knife, this coating lifted off to reveal the charred and spoiled surface of the foods below... they had burned our croques and tried to cover this. Preordered what would be done to any substitute foods, we paid for our water and left, moved to the Croque Madame at the Museum in Libertador, where everything was exactly as it should be: food, service, cleanliness... everything perfect. It seems that not all Croque Madam Cafés run on the same standards.

Pampered over this restaurant near our hotel a quiet Monday evening while visiting Buenos Aires. Spinach salad with chicken was great, like the oriental chicken roast. Desserts also delicious. All dishes plentiful portions sizes. Service was excellent charming and friendly waiting staff....Would recommend and definitely revisit.

We ordered the Lomo al Malbec medium and after waiting for 45 minutes the meat came well, the waiter had a bad attitude he could not be less friendly at all. It was my first and last time in this place.... Stay away!

We tumbled upon this little restaurant for their lunch special. The tarts, salads, and deserts were so delicious that we made reservations for later in the week for dinner! They were very accommodating as there were a group of 10 of us friends. The dinner...was the same high quality and service and drinks excellent. Price for all the food and drink VERY reasonable! Highly recommended, at least for lunch. Try it!
