Bidra med feedbackWe spent a week with Pablo in his magnificent estate and were supplied with real warmth and hospitality. From the excellent breakfast that started the day to the helpful advice and facilitation of the arrangements, the time in Casa Umare was a highlight of our...time in BA. Mucho gracias Pablo
We needed a place for a night before we flew back to the states. I wanted to try something I've never tried. Casa Umare is a dream that becomes true. It is as if you have your own private villa with your own staff, and a new best...Friend in Pablo the owner. The check-in process is seamless and fast. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Everything is perfect in place. The elevator works and is fast. The decor is exquisite and tastefully decorated. We arrived at 8:30 and after we were allowed to check in so early, our room was served with breakfast. We made dinner reservation for 7:00 and the five-course meal was prepared deliciously by Pablo himself. I slept wonderfully on the bed and felt so rested the next morning. We asked for a late check-out and served a custom late breakfast before leaving the hotel for the airport. I can't wait to come back and take my family! Congratulations to Pablo for a well done job!
It seems like Trip Advisor only lists Casa Umare as a restaurant, but this review is for our experience as a hotel guest. We went from NYC to BA to visit our son abroad during his junior year. He lived in Almagro who didn't... an area known for tourism or hotels, but we wanted to stay close to his place, despite the limited hotel options that came online for BA-Newbies. Casa Umare was a little splurgical for us, but the value is really incredible. We had a nice, high-boiling suite with kitchen, dining, living, master bedroom and another bedroom for children. Breakfast was brought to us every morning. The hotel itself is a beautifully restored mansion, and all lead by the hotelier, restaurant, architects and artists whose vision it is, Pablo Pérez Raggio, who could no longer have been courteous and friendly and inconceivable. We also fell in love with the neighborhood, especially with the concentration of tango spots, classes and clubs. It was an unforgettable intro for BA for us and we are grateful to Casa Umare for making it so comfortable and delicious.
We went to this restaurant on a cold winter night in June and were just the three of us. You get us well and service was good-very good. The hotel is fantastic and very nicely furnished. Unfortunately, the food was good down for this... restaurant. Onion soup was tasteless and was made with water... no broth, no salt, no taste. Sweetbreads were fine, but much too little guarnicion (Gemüse) and sauce was a comon chicken broth. Lachs was well cooked. The desert was good, a lemon cake. Very expesnsive(2000 pesos) for three persons 2 Apetizer, 3 Entrées and three deserts and 1 wine. Do not let yourself be fooled by the beautiful pictures and good comments.
We ate at the restaurant in this chic boutique hotel, which was one of the highlights of our trip to BA. Believe the other reviews, the service, food, and ambience were fantastic. The hotel is located in an up and coming area (lower east side...if from NYC). You are met at the door by an older gentleman who only speaks Spanish and then ushered into an amazing French style townhouse filled with marble, iron, and stain glass. The owner Pablo was kind enough to show us the rooftop area and a couple of the spacious suites. All was breathtaking! The restaurant is long and narrow and reminds you of a French bistro. For dinner we were served a house speciality cocktail in Pablo 's grandmother 's crystal glasses very special. We had calamari cerviche beef, sole, and gnocchi (which was incredibly light). Everything was delicious! Best meal yet! We will be back!! '
