K's Dairy Delite - Buena Vista

One of the great hamburger shops left in this country.From what i've been around. very cool place!!! I lucked out and was the hundredth customer and my celeb name was Louis Armstrong. The young lady work in the counter was excellent and her job kept it flowing and entertaining as well as being friendly. I wish I could remember her name.I believe her mom is the manager. I don't give 5 stars lightly.But the food service and atmosphere was great if you're in Buena vista check it out!

Portion sizes were pretty small, especially for the prices. I got about 10 fries in a bag with my burger combo. Better places in town to get a burger for similar prices.

Food was good. No seating but it's right next to a park on the creek with creekside picnic tables.

K's has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid and we used to scream for ice cream from the back of the van, and they don't disappoint today!!! I love that I can get a veggie burger here, and my husband can have a beef burger and we can all get sweets. The staff are super friendly and the experience is just a great part of being in Buena Vista, if you ask me. Looooove it!!!

Food was good, nothing great. Had double cheeseburger with fries, my wife had hamburger with onion rings. No drinks. Came to $36 and change. To me that's expensive enough, which is characteristic of today's economy, but then the machine brings up a tip amount. The least automatic tip available was 15% which brought the total to 41.48 for a couple of burgers with sides. My normal tip for takeout is 10% which I feel is generous enough. I know I could have selected a custom tip, but my wife and I had been driving all day and just wanted to get some food and get out of there. 15% seems a bit much for takeout. I also noticed that in the past the line to order was always very long. We stayed in BV for a week and probably drove by there at least once a day. Never saw a long line at all. Just indicative of today's economy I guess.
