Jamaica Blue Kawana - Buderim

Best poached eggs on toast on the Sunshine Coast, can’t fault this place. Love coming in on a Saturday morning to start my day off right. Staff are awesome. Big thumbs up from me!

Went here for breakfast on Sat 24 September with my partner. We ordered “Eggs Your Way”, choosing poached eggs and clearly specified: 1. Runny soft eggs 2. Unbuttered toast. The eggs arrived nearly hard boiled and the toast buttered. They took the eggs away and left the buttered toast. So had to call them back. They took away the toast and then delivered a runny egg but now had no toast to mop up the egg. On the third try—and -after 20 minutes of this comedy of errors—a runny egg with dry toast finally arrived. Hallelujah! We won’t return to this circus. PS the young female server was great. The problem was the order taker at the front counter.

The food arrived within 5 minutes of sitting down, over cooked, barely warm. I believe it was already cooked before hand and kept in a baymarie until needed. Definitely not cooked after the order was placed. The young waitress was surly and I didn’t see her smile or interact unless she had to. Very disappointing. Won’t eat there again.

The only drink I have is hot water and today I went to Jamaica Blue Kawana with my friend. I asked for a hot water in a mug. The assistant didnt know what to do so asked another assistant who said NO they do not serve hot water. I could get a lemon tea or something like that but that is not what I drink. I was happy to pay for it. I went to another Jamaica Blue Cafe at the Plaza Maroochydore and they did not hesitate to serve me with a hot water at a small charge. Will I be going back to Jamaica Blue Kawana I dont think so

Beautiful, family friendly place! Amazing food and perfect dish presentation. It was an extremely pleasurable experience to visit Jamaica Blue in Kawana shopping world with kids. Perfect table service. I strongly suggest this place for a quick stop or a long dining experience. I'd give it 7 stars if I could.
