St George - Bucharest

We visited in a Saturday around lunch, when it's not that crowded. Food was ok, we had ribs and chicken with cheese, espresso and latte were also fine, prices are normal for the City Center. Service was impeccable, service timing also excellent - food came quickly after drinks, which were served immediately after ordering. Check also came instantly. An advice to Anais F from Paris - consider the unrealistically high prices in your city before making comments about Palincă (no k necessary in Romanian) in Bucharest. Also, if you want reimbursement for mistaken orders, plus the corrected menu course and apologies, maybe you should pay insurance in advance.

The waiting time was quite long. The waiter made a mistake and brought meat instead of fish. So, we had to wait again for them to change the dish... And then there was no compensation for the inconvenience. The food was ok, but nothing special. Only 1 dessert among the 5 on the menu was available. The Palinka is very expensive: it costs 21 Lei!

The restaurant has fair prices, dinner for 3 was only 35 euros, and it was a feast with pork dishes:). The ribs i ordered were great, with small baked patatos, onion and a great tomato sauce. Service was great, the girl that took care of us was very kind! I highly recommend this awesome place

Very good prices, the restaurant was almost empty, the food came quickly (spare ribs and cheese noodles, big portion!), the taste was good. The service was also good. I am sure I would like to come back.

Not so comfortable, old (not very clean) chairs. Not matching spoon-knife-fork. Had to ask for salt and pepper. Waited over 40 minutes for the first "round" of food, but it was delicious. Second "round" was average, but the dessert was great. We had to rethink 3 times what we should order as they didn't had quite a lot available from the menu... Even the lemonade wasn't available because the guy making the lemonade was not there (seriously?!)... Waiter was not attentive. They even let a live band go from table to table playing on instruments and collecting money as a fee... made the place too loud so we could barely talk to each other or enjoy the food. Almost 3 stars, but 2 stars reflect better my/our experience.
