Gambrinus - Bucharest

We had a difficult trip and we just wanted to have a nice lunch and sitting near the window. the manager said that the table is not ready, but we were ready to wait, but after he said that the table is reserved what we think it's just a story. we don't think he should talk to us as manager as he was.

The place is really cozy, the staff is very friendly and welcoming and the service is on place. they need to try the chicken strips that are kartoffels to die, up they have bacon chips and who doesn't love speck right? the dessert that. I tried was trifle cup vanilla cream with sponge cake and celberry) this dessert is very easy if they want some fresh but sweet in the same time. if they are in caucarest and are looking for a coffin/restaurant, this is the place.

Recommend by a friend and totally worth a visit. Me and my son stopped off for lunch, nice atmosphere, lovely decor, and friendly waiter. I had a traditional chicken stew with polenta, really tasty My boy had Rib Eye Steak, cooked perfectly, and with the...side of rustic potato’s which were really yummy! Good value for money and quick service! Highly recommend this place.

If you are a foreigner, you'll be robbed. The place was recommended by locals to have a lunch. So we, 3 foreigners, went to this place. Firstly, we ordered a lunch menu, which is shown on the board as a good deal. Well, waiter said...no, only from the menu. That is quite weird though, but we took an opportunity to taste local food from the menu then. What the hell. Then, there is no possibility to split a bill, Carl. On 3 people! Waiter said with the manner as such requests are the hardest task on him. The service? It is if we were not in the restaurant, seemed like we are nir welcome here Finally, and the best part is, that we paid our bill, put some extra tips and then the waiter came chasing us angrily in the street that we underpaid. He was holding the money and counting them and it was clearly a sum missing. Well, 3 of us counted before and there is no chance we messed up. We left even more money. So, the restaurant basically robbed us in the street. A hole. It was the worst experience in Bucharest. Do not recommend.
