Mariscos Villarreal - Bucerías

This restaurant, on a dusty side street from the highway through Bucerias was a real surprise. It was recommended by one of our guides who eats there weekly. It's not a place where I've ever stopped because of its location and... annoying appearance, but the experience was wonderful. The place quickly filled with locals. My wife and I had Keviche. She is a very excellent cook, and she shaved over the cooked shrimps Ceviche. It was perfectly cooked and there was no fish smell at al. The shrimps were recently obviously caught. I had the Mahi Mahi Ceviche, also very fresh and tasty. The waiter let me try a little bit from her mackerel ceviche that was from this world. My only criticism: portions are huge and we could scatter a dish, but somehow we had no problem ending our meals. The beer was cheap as you go a short distance to the store over the street to buy it! I would highly recommend this place.

This local family restaurant was simply delicious! Although they were packed they were fast to get you a table and also fast with the service. Do yourself a favor and buy the ceviche, it is good for at least two persons. You can buy cold...beers from a nearby grocery store and enjoy your tostadas, cocktail shrimp or whatever you get from here since it is very good. And the prices are super affordable specially since the serving is huge.

La comida es deliciosa, el servicio es excelente y el ambiente es muy agradable. Definitivamente lo recomiendo.
