Bidra med feedbackWe ate here a few years ago on New Years and had their meals and were quite impressed. We recently tried again and were somewhat disappointed. 350 Pesos for a 3-course menu that was very average and we all thought...overprice. Menu didn't change a bit. Tortilla soup was delicious as well as our dessert either crème brûlée or ice cream. However, I was very disappointed at the Coquille st jacque. Instead of scallops there were fish and shrimps in a very pasty white sauce. My husband had the recommended pork chops, which were unfortunately very dry. Other members of our party had the chicken and fish meal. On average. It doesn't matter to pay extra for a fabulous meal, but unfortunately this was not worth the extra higher price.
What an absolutely lovely evening. Rosa, our host, was attentive and welcoming and the al fresco culinary experience was cozy as we enjoyed a delicious 4-course menu. It is a set menu with a number of options of the Coquilles St Jacques main course...was a big hit and pork chops made home with apple sauce was a nice change even after traditional Mexican farewell for a few weeks. We started with two types of godfather, followed by a small Caesar salad. The flan for dessert was the best I tasted so far, but the ice was also delicious. Music drove from a nearby restaurant that created a beautiful ambience that was not too loud. It was also unexpected that we were able to make a reservation through Google cards Rosa's daughter quickly responded to my request, which was great, as I only Wi-Fi and no telephone access. And I didn't have to worry about my limited Spanish, as Rosa's English was excellent. We strongly recommend you to check it. And we'll be back next time. Thank you.
Lovely experience. Introduced to this hidden gem in 2017 by expat. Back every year since. Their Valentine Day dinner is especially lovely....great outdoor ambience with special decorations, set menu and great service from Rosa!
Our food was wonderful, the wine election was limited, but the wine that was available was really good. The service was great. The ambiance was exceptional. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Six of us had a wonderful and inexpensive meal in La Lomita. Rosa and her little seven-year-old grandson Logan were so attentive and accommodating. We loved being in the courtyard and could hear each other speak, something that is not always the case in other restaurants. Little Logan even made a drawing of our table I guess.
