Cumin Bar Restaurant - Broxbourne

Yet another great meal for our yearly get together with my friends, food is great, service is very good and prices are good in my opinion will be back next year.

I must say, the food at this restaurant was absolutely amazing. They had unique dishes on the menu that I had never seen at an Indian restaurant before. The Dahl was outstanding and highly recommended. The starters included lamb, king prawn, keema, and chicken served on a platter plate, allowing you to help yourself - they were very tasty and aromatic. I opted for the lamb shank in a mild sauce, which suited my taste perfectly. The manager and staff were attentive and helpful. Overall, this restaurant definitely exceeded our expectations, and we drove all the way from Leigh-on-Sea, Essex based on a recommendation.

The food was cold and appeared to have been sitting there since 12:30. We were charged £10 for an under 2 year old who only ate a tomato. Overall, it was a terrible experience and we will not be returning.

I had a truly delightful meal on Tuesday, January 24th. The food was delicious and the waiter and manager were extremely helpful. I really enjoyed it. The bhajis were the perfect size and I loved the complimentary brandy. Thank you and I look forward to coming back soon!

I’ve been a customer here since they opened, around 15 years. In all that time have always had excellent food from here. However, the last couple of times has been terrible. Portions have halved, prices nearly doubled. Peshwari naan is now very dry with nothing inside. Korma sauce very thin and runny, pilau rice tasteless. Sadly, we have all decided we won’t be using this Indian anymore after 15 years.
