Lighthouse - Brooklyn

A causal place with great food. comfortable location both from the l and from the J/M/Z. is very busy (and loud) at the weekends, so they make a reservation and ready to speak loud. the appetizers were better than the appetizers, but both were great. the personal was very nice and accommodating for people at the party who had food allergies. great time!

Made a reservation for two well in advance. When we arrived on a cold night, the Maitre D' didn't ask if we had a reservation. Instead, we were told that the restaurant was fully booked and the only table available was right by the door, despite the fact that the dining room was nearly empty. We asked for another table, further into the dining room, but were denied. After getting them to understand that we were one of the parties that had booked in advance, we were still forced to sit at the cold table. Found it hard to believe that there were no other 2-tops available. This left a sour note to what would have otherwise been an outstanding dinner.

The staff was very accommodating when we made a last-minute reservation for a large party on a Saturday night. The dining experience was enjoyable and definitely worth it. However, I suggest they review their approach for large groups that prefer to share smaller portions of various dishes.

Lighthouse is ideal for just about any occasion. I often bring city visitors here if I want to impress them, whether it's for a casual dinner or a romantic evening. The cocktails are fantastic, the food is excellent, and the staff are friendly, all within a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. I truly can’t think of anything more one might want in a restaurant; this place has it all.

The food was delicious, but the restaurant was freezing. It felt slightly warmer than being outside, and Valentine's Day evening was particularly chilly. We had reservations and chose the pre-fixe menu. I wish we had been informed beforehand that the restaurant tends to be very cold in winter, or that there might be an issue with the heating. It made for an unpleasant experience.
