Bidra med feedbackI visited this restaurant with my family and friends on the way from Uty to Vellore. I have visited many places to enjoy the special taste they offer, but this place was a great disappointment. We ordered the Mutton Biryani, but it was salty. The tandoori chicken was tasteless and the mint chutney was also not good. The waiter or supervisor never came back to our table after taking our order. We had to raise our hands like schoolchildren to ask for water and extra raita. There was some disagreement among us when choosing this place, as everyone was initially interested. When it came time to pay the bill, all items were charged correctly, but no one came to collect the card from us. I had to raise my hand again to get the bill and in the end, I lost my patience and left without receiving an explanation for the poor service. I have decided not to visit this restaurant again.
The Ambur Star Briyani restaurant is a special place located between Bhavani and Sankari on the left side when driving from Coimbatore to Salem. It is situated next to the A2B Adyar Ananda Bhavan. During my visit for lunch, I was surprised to find that I was the only customer in the restaurant, despite it being able to accommodate more than 100 people. I did not receive a menu card initially, but the menu was verbally explained to me. I eventually received a menu card and decided to try the chicken briyani. The portion size was small, with a tiny piece of chicken, but it had a very delicious taste. I also ordered chicken cheek-pee, a first for me in an Ambur Star Briyani restaurant. The chicken vruval was particularly tasty. The price of Rs. 340 seemed a bit high for the quantity provided, which may explain why the restaurant was empty during lunch hours.
We have visited many of their outlets in Tamil Nadu, and I am a big fan of their biryani. However, this new location on the right side closer to Salem while traveling from Coimbatore was a huge disappointment. Firstly, they did not provide a menu. What disappointed us the most was that when we ordered Mutton Biryani, they served us only half the portion compared to their other branches. We ordered for three people but received two plates of Mutton Urundai, each with five pieces instead of two. The waiter should have informed us beforehand. The restroom and parking were also unsatisfactory. Overall, we were very disappointed.
The attraction of the place is the parking space and toilet facilities that has this property. bang on the autobahn they are trying to stop here between coimbatore and salem. we had better ambur star biriyani at many other plugs. The...service staff said taste will change from outlet to outlet, as water quality etc. will be different, service is fast and it can be very busy during lunch and dinner. there are other kiosks and also an a2b in the same complex.
Ambur Star Briyani fares among the 30 delicacies that you should never miss in Tamilnadu. This century and a quarter old chain of restaurants carries behind it a legacy of 4 generations serving mouth watering briyani. Originally started in Ambur after their forefathers sold briyanis...in bicycles, the chain has established its reputation, and holds on to it, every time you step in. The briyani they serve has a unique taste, and has been widely appreciated.
