There is a delicious and exciting experience here every time I go.I bought many cheeses, gold meats, and original champagne chocolates as souvenirs during my stay in Manhattan. Phenomenal lox with generous portions of it. Tried the Nova and was very pleased.

While most of the items in Zabar's are costly, the sales on olives and cheeses are a steal. There is a wide variety of cheeses on sale displayed as soon as you enter the store- it's a must check out.

I've been getting food from zabar as my entire life , recently for a memorial for my 95-year-old stepfather Zabars did the catering and it made for a beautiful day they're the best and they always will be..

Zabar's is an institution. From their smoked fish to their bagels and all their amazing catering offerings. I would move from Canada to the Upper West side, if I could, just to be able to go to Zabar's regularly. Whenever we are down in NYC, Zabar's is a must stop and we load up on bagels, French butter and other sundries to take back home. One of the definite stars of their line up is their coffee! The French/Italian beans are the best! The time and care they take in to testing, roasting their coffee beans shows. I usually come home with 3 or more pounds of the French/Italian beans to last me until my next trip. Long may they be around!
