Pitti - Broad Channel

Arrived at 4:30pm on a Monday for an early dinner. Was seated right away. Outdoor seating is available. Moderately clean facilities. Specials are written in Italian and my server had a problem translating it into English for me, but we figured it out. He didn't read the entire menu to me, just a few selected items. The olive oil for the bread was quite bitter. The meatball Appetizer was a little bland. Black truffle pasta was very good. Papardelle pasta was the Star . Veal medallions were very good too. Our 2 Servers were having an argument in the dining room which was witnessed by the other patrons. Quite expensive for a casual place. CASH ONLY. I'm giving a cautious 4 Stars because the food was good. But I noticed many bad reviews here for service, prices, and portion size.

Food was decent but could go somewhere else at this price point. Overpriced. I did not appreciate the service, it felt rushed I essentially had the plate thrown at me. And 2 mins after my dessert arrived we were thrown with the bill? It is cash-only and their receipt is essentially handwritten, they automatically charged their 18% tip on top of the bill and can be made unclear if you don’t double check as it’s written on the bottom in teeny tiny writing . The whole thing was done to scam its customers. As our bill was $80 (including their own 18% tip they automatically put in) and we put $100 down in cash, the waiter had audacity to ask if we wanted change? That’s like $20 in change… So it was clear their intention was to fool their customers to mislead them to tip twice. Sly business, avoid at all costs.
