Frying Pan - Broad Channel

Friday afternoon in mid September. The temperature couldn’t be better. Good food. Good drinks. A stellar view.

Was here for a work event, had food catered by the facility (taco's (beef, chicken, veggies). The tacos were decent, the drinks were a little light but it's understandable that it may have been because it was a work event.

This place is a must-see if you are visiting New York city. Even if you have to go out of your way, it is a most unusual dining experience. First of all, you feel a little bit like you're in the movie waterworld, there's a lot of metal and a lot of post-apocalyptic feeling here. A must for NYC Visitors! Super yummy food with million dollar views. It’s self serve and a family of 4 can eat and drink for under $100. Not sure where the poor service reviews are coming from. Amazing historic boat now a restaurant.

Fantastic views, great concept. But the actual food can be so much better! The lobster was really tough and served with some kind of herbed butter that didn’t match the flavors at all. Why not keep it simple with plain salted butter and lemons? The fish’wich was good but the coleslaw should have been served on the side not in the actual sandwich.. it made for a very soggy bun. I would go back for the views and to have a drink but might pass on the food.
