Bidra med feedbackThat was such a delight. I saw the restaurant reviewed I think on localish and I was eager to go. I enjoyed the service pleasant, funny, attentive, interactive. Oh and a sense of humor. The cocktails were fun and inventive. The only comment I have is not everyone likes incense. It interfered with the sensuality of the food and the cocktails.
Very interesting take on soul food. The dishes were tasty. Definitely pricey for vegan food though.
Y’all do yourself a favor and don’t eat here!! There’s so many other vegan spots that actually provide top customer service. I was so disappointed because I was recommended to this spot and planned around it so I could try the food. The food was great but it was ruined by the customer service. I work in customer service and would NEVER treat my guests like this. I don’t know if everyone there was having a bad day, but y’all need to do way better. Such a let down UGH. I will never recommend this place or come back here again!!

We went last night for the first time and over all had a great time.I absolutely loved everything on the menu we ordered. We ended up actually ordering a 2nd order of the green tomatoes I they were so good.The atmosphere is dark and chill with great music. We had a 9:15 reservation but they were able to seat us early which was nice.I will say the downfall of the meal was for sure our server, who from the moment she greeted us seemed demure and annoyed at our presence. When we sat down we were asked if we wanted tap water or sparkling water. I indicated I wanted still water because I don’t like the bubbles. Our server started out our meal by essentially water scamming us. She offered tap water then charged us $10 for a bottle of still Saratoga water instead. She immediately opened the bottle as soon as she brought it over so I couldn’t even ask for a refund on it. Awful start to our meal. $2 extra tip on that $10 water lost her more in the end.The rest of the table drops that were completed by her were also pretty unfriendly. Any questions we asked were answered but with a huff.The bartender (I think) did take an order for a few dishes with us and also indicated that they can not edit any dishes as the chef is difficult and prefers that it not be done. I hate ranch dressing so this was a bit of a hold up on the oyster mushroom sandwich but we tried it anyway. Thankfully it didn’t taste like that classic ranch style so it was fine, but the inability to take off a sauce seemed a little strange for a place that does not hold a star or have any indication that there are no edits allowed on the menu.The food was however definitely 5 stars. You can skip the corn bread, everything else was worth.Over all, I would not return because there are so many amazing places in the city that will make you feel welcome. It’s worth trying it out though for the experience.
