Bidra med feedbackThe Wessex Flyer in Bristol—a pub that makes one ponder the deeper meaning of existence. Or, more accurately, the absence of it. This is a tough one to review, not because it’s a complex enigma wrapped in a pub-shaped riddle, but because it’s so depressingly average that it makes me question why I ever started going to pubs in the first place. But let’s give credit where credit’s due. The staff were nice enough, doing their best in a place that seems hell-bent on draining the joy from every pint and every plate.. In short, The Wessex Flyer is a pub that you’ll want to avoid. Avoid it, unless you’re into that sort of thing.
A nice place to visit and dine in every day, the food is always cooked the way you like it and nice cold/ hot drinks.
Food was terrible ! Took close to half an hour to come and the club sandwich was stone cold. My wife ordered fish but was then told there were out of fish. She chose a jacket potato and chilli but the potato was hard. Then the two people sat behind us ordered fish and actually got it !
Brilliant food. Carvery or set menu. Breakfasts are amazing too
Thankyou for a lovely breakfast! Everything was hot fresh and delicious. Isaac, and Rihanna were lovely and made my visit perfect from start to finish. Service was fast and nothing was too much! Amazing!
