Jai Thai Restaurant - Brisbane

The food is reasonable but over priced. the service very poor. We got there 7.15 received our dinner 8.15 it’s no wonder this place is dead most of the time. They seemed to pay more attention to take aways who arrived well after us but were served first. Only one young woman serving the whole restaurant, seemed to be hurrying to serve the few groups. 3 cooks but not managing to deliver food on a timely manner. Unfriendly staff.. we’ve attended at least once a week for 2 months and we’re yet to see a welcome smile. Will never go there again. I would give the food 3 stars and the service one star

We had 1 starter, 4 main dishes amongst 6 of us some drinks. All dishes were very good but the massaman vegetable and tofu curry had very little tofu pieces in it. The basil chilli duck had a bit too much skin/meat ratio. Pad Thai and Sate Chicken dishes were tasty. Initially we had a roti with peanut sauce which was excellent. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the service friendly and efficient. In summary we had a very nice evening with generally good fare but with some minor food disappointments.

Located in the heart of Toowong, this restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining options. Although the entrees were delicious, the main dishes were just standard Thai fare. Unfortunately, one of the mains was missing its main ingredient, tofu, so we had to ask for it to be remade. The service was not as attentive as we would have liked. Despite these issues, we would be willing to give this restaurant another try.

Have visited Jai Thai few times as i really liked the food quality and taste. But hang n guys be prepared to get treated with one of the poorest service in Brisbane. Right from crying for water to someone picking up you plate while you are yet to finish to some one forgetting your order for drinks inspite of asking several times. Yes we have gone through all but yet again we are here as the food is really good.

This is a great restaurant in Toowong, just around the corner from the motel where we stayed. The food is excellent, service quick and the ambience pleasant. If you like Thai food this is a good choice
