Bidra med feedbackServes one of the best french toast that one can ever try wholesome, heavy and tasty! fromage is a nice little cute shop on the famous park road in milton. the interiors are simple and all elegant, and option to sit outside also exists. i have been here a couple of time and the order for a coffee is quickly catered to and served. once, i ordered for french toast and the beauty with which it was served got me hooked to it. topped with a scoop of vanilla, it was well done with ruspberries, choco crumps and all. its a must try dish of their menu. other items on the menu are good too. at the same time, it must be underscored that i have observed huge variation in the taste of food from time to time within last two months it might be due to under staffing, or skipping key ingredients in food, or unprofessional cook. in that light, 4 stars is a bit too generous for this place, but at the same time, if they can work it all out well, they can hit that perfect 5 in no time.
Fromage the Cow is a restaurant for cheese lovers! I’m here today for a quick coffee with no time for a meal. Warmly greeted by the Barista, I am pleasantly surprised to see him dressed in a 3 piece suit. As expected, my double shot Cafe Latte is very good but not quite strong enough. The Fromage 3 Cheese Omelette for my next breakfast here!
We’d been interested in Fromage the cow for quite awhile both because the name was cute and who doesn’t love an overload of cheese? My only hesitation was that it was going to be a restaurant that served cheese and only cheese. Given our disappointing fondue experiences from Switzerland I had to say I was all cheesed out. However, one glance at the menu will prove they do indeed serve other foodstuffs.
Fromage the Cow, a cheese themed eatery, has set up in the quaint yet competitive Park Road in Milton. I had lunch here with a good friend of mine who works nearby in Milton.<br/ <br/ I had the the Truffle Risotto w wild mushrooms, porcini stock, roasted garlic, crème fraîche herbs, while my friend had the Slow Roasted Butternut Pumpkin Gnocchi w sage, burnt butter, ricotta parsnip crème. She was looking for something lighter and since there were no salad options as mains, so she sacrificed her diet so I could try some of hers. <br/ <br/ We both had entree sized dishes which was plenty for a carbalicious lunch. I thorougly enjoyed my risotto, well cooked rice with bite, i enjoyed the combination of porcini with creme fraiche, garlic and lemon giving it a good flavour balance. The coriander and vietnamese mint was a bit excessive, I do like my coriander but there was a lot of it. I understand the need for some texture to compliment the risotto, I'm not sure if I was convinced. Rocket would have sufficed. <br/ <br/ My friend enjoyed her gnocchi, and we cleaned her plate well. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked, pillowy, soft yet held its shape not floury. There's so much bad gnocchi around so getting a good one, you embrace with open arms. I loved the presentation of this dish, and the use of warm complementary colours. <br/ <br/ I would have scored this a 8/10, but the service was outstanding which bumps it up to a 9. Even though we didn't request it, our server was astute enough to bring us two plates for us to share, based on our conversation on wanting to try both. The regular topping up of our water was also a sign that they were interested in our well being. The interior is cosy, but welcoming. <br/ <br/ I'll be back for a more cheeky night out so I can try some of their cheeses.
This is my go to place after having lunch or Coffee and just craving for a nice patisserie. Have been there a few times just for this purpose and have never been disappointed. I recommend trying their sticky date pudding and their brownie.<br <br I would like to come for lunch or dinner at some point but since they don't have many vegan options my partner doesn't feel inclined to do so : .
