Bidra med feedbackIf you're in the mood for a satisfying and high-quality soup, Danny Boys is a great choice. Their chili bowls are also delicious, although a bit too salty for my taste. The sandwiches are fresh and generously filled, but there are other restaurants in the area that offer cheaper options if budget is a concern. Don't forget to try their giant cookie - it's enough to feed a group of five or six people and will give you the energy boost you need to power through the day.
I recently dined at Danny Boys in Kelvin Grove. I stumbled upon this restaurant while searching for places to eat in Brisbane a few days ago. I arrived at 2:45 pm today and upon entering, I wasn't sure if they were still open or about to close. The atmosphere was dark and unwelcoming. Upon entering, a staff member immediately approached me to take my order, even though I was still looking at the menu. When I was ready to order, I had to wait for the staff member to come back. I decided to try the Big Bear sandwich, which sounded delicious with peppered pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, lettuce, and DB sauce. However, the sandwich I received was not as advertised. It had only a small amount of peppered pastrami, a few slices of Swiss cheese, lackluster sauerkraut, and a minimal amount of DB sauce. The bread roll was dry and unappetizing. This was the first time I didn't finish a meal, and I have now decided not to bring my friend from England to this restaurant when he visits. Unfortunately, Danny Boys is no longer on my list of recommended dining spots.
This fantastic sandwich bar offers a diverse menu that caters to all tastes. Customers have the option to choose between a short (6 inches), long (11 inches), or lettuce wrap (for those avoiding carbs). My husband and I decided to share a long Halfbrick sandwich, filled with chicken, bacon, tomato, lettuce, and avocado, along with a cup of broccoli cheddar soup for lunch. The bread was delightfully chewy and had an artisanal touch, while the sandwich fillings were of high quality. The broccoli cheddar soup was outstanding. We found the prices to be very reasonable and the staff to be exceptionally friendly.
Went there plenty of time because the sandwich was good.. however, giving their attitude about $2 voucher for next time discount after spending over $20 previously, they don 't want to honor it because the voucher can not be scanned, I am very annoyed. This is the warning for all of you if you want to use their discount voucher, you might get oh..sorry can not give you discount because bar code can not be scanned.. B...a...d... B...a...d experience will I go back after this .. no..
New favourite spot in Brisbane. Actually found it on Ubereats, and was so pleased with the freshness and quality of the food. Soups and sandwiches are amazing, and very reasonably priced. Brownies and desserts are delicious too! Feels like an ‘old fashioned’ real bakery/cafe from home.
