I'd avoided going here for ages because it seemed so busy and open with all the people coming out of Central station.
The way I see it, you haven't truly experienced an Australian city until you've tried their sushi.
I have always wanted to try Onigri and since I found out that Nigi Nigi sells it, today I've got the chance to try it. I have bought the onigri at 4pm and I chose the salted salmon flavor and because of the way how they wrapped it by separating the seaweed from the fried rice, it is not soggy and for me the flavor was alright since it wasn't too salty and the onigri was still fresh. For $3.50, I think it's worth it as an on the go snack
I'm big fan to all kind of food you can find at Japanese convenient stores, so when I heard about onigiris at Nigi Nigi, I was really pleased. The ingredients for onigiri are not so much different from "you-can-find-everywhere" sushi rolls, but the shape and packaging can be huge difference. We have come early and most of onigiris were still warm. The triangle shape with plastic cover is ideal for take away on all-day trips or just a snack when lazing on beach, if you don't want to spend a lot of money on nearby fast foods :) It's so conveniently packed, that you don't have to worry about nori being soggy even if you have it in your bag all day. They have extended their menu over the time and now they even serve simple oden! If you need to grab something quick and cheap, this is a very good place to do so. luna-bento.blogspot.com
