La Estrellita - Brighton

This was the third time I'd been there. The first time for dinner and it was FABulous. The food, the service, amazing. Second time for lunch, the food was cold and nowhere close to amazing as my first visit. My third visit was for dinner on 6/15/25. I had the Mayan enchiladas and again, they were cold. The cheese had hardened and the tortillas were as if they just pulled them out of the fridge. The sauce, what sauce? There were a few dribbles. Very disappointed. I won't go back. It's too bad because they have a great patio with the potential to have a nice atmosphere.

I’m mind blown. My waitress lost my debit card- then the manager told me she was reviewing video footage to make sure I really did set my card down. Once I proved my card was put down by re watching footage I was told well she doesn’t have it. Then when my debit card was found under another guests table- it was handed back to me with no apology and I was asked if that’s the card I wanted to use to pay my bill. Amazing Custer service for a customer of 30 plus years .

Whenever we're in Brighton area, about once a year, we must stop in to eat.

I don't usually give poor reviews, but our experience at La Estrallita was unfortunate. The only good thing about the food was their complimentary salsa and chips. The cheese on my daughter's nachos wasn't melted at all, my burrito's shredded chicken tasted like canned chicken, and worst of all the water tasted like what a hotel swimming pool smells like. Most of the servers we came in contact with were pretty grumpy other than our actual waitress. She was very sweet, however after taking our card to pay, she disappeared for 10 minutes. Rather than paying at the station next to where we were seated, she went to the kitchen. As far as atmosphere, maybe if we sat outside it would have been better, but inside was uncomfortably warm and dark. We did go on a Monday night, so maybe it was just an off night for them?

Good food and reasonable prices. Will return. They could turn the music down to improve the atmosphere . Husband said the Chile Rellenos were some of the best.
