Try tasting pastries: GOOD, without ifs and buts! Small pastry shop at the end of Brescia Sud, a few meters separate the beginning of Castenedolo. Tasting of 15 small pastas, half a kilo, 13€. Quality of courteous and patient service despite the fact that there were so many people, I chose the pasta one by one. The little cheesecakes with blueberry, blackberry and raspberry on top are spectacular! I don't love cheesecakes in general but this cream is really enjoyable. The cannoncini are good, fresh cream and also the consistency. Discreet dark chocolate flames. The other decidedly fresh fruit pastines enjoy a cream and a good pastry. The only drawback, just to find one, the two white chocolate flames, I found them a bit too delicate, almost tasteless. Oh nothing, I'll be back very soon... well done
Nothing to say about the quality (it was my favorite pastry shop) but a very negative note is to be spent on the management of both telephone and in-store orders. Two trays of 50 pastas each were ordered with a week's notice, expressly requesting only cannoncini and cream puffs. Unfortunately, other types of pasta have been included. The second episode, on the other hand, concerns the purchase of a small expressly requested tray of only cannoncini and cream puffs, in which instead the staff was trimming behind the counter again pastries that were probably unsold or in any case less appetizing. Realizing what was happening, the staff promptly justified themselves with a series of excuses, when, regardless of everything and everyone, they would have made a better impression by telling us that, not being able to insert everything requested by us, they would have inserted something else but always at our discretion (not trimming unbeknownst to us, unsolicited and or obviously unsold pastries).
In Brescia we are very spoiled when it comes to pastry shops, many of them are very good and some are truly excellent. And among these stands out this small shop, in the suburbs fortunately close to home: we have been serving ourselves at Bossoni's for 40 years, from the Sunday cabaret to the wedding cake. We tried everything and never encountered a twist. With the second generation, some innovations have arrived but which respect the tradition of quality, freshness and service.
