Que Onda Tacobar - Brenwood

I have called in my order on the way home from work many times. Today I was told that it has “always been the rule” that they aren’t allowed to take orders via phone and they refused to take my order. I was told I must order online which is obviously not happening while driving so I picked up my food elsewhere. If you can order ahead though, it’s pretty good.

I came here for quesabirria and it was great. It came with free chips and salsa as well. I ordered to go but this place is always friendly and clean. I love how they serve water with fruits in it as well.

I had the shrimp tacos prepared the recommended way, they were awesome! The service was great as usual and the place was very clean.

Service I was greeted with a smile. The front staff took very good care to make sure I had my questions answered.Atmosphere It may have been the time of the day, but there was no one there when I arrived.Parking Located in a shopping plaza. There is plenty of parking near the restaurant.Food I ordered the quesabirria, chicken street tacos, platanos fritos, and the agua fresca. The mango passionfruit agua fresca and the platanos fritos were delicious! The consistency of the tacos was great. The meat itself could have used more flavor. Coming from TX, flavor is huge! I don't mean salt, but spices like comino, chili powder, onion, garlic, oregano, beef broth, etc. If they could let the meat marinate overnight, all the flavors would absorb very nicely. Same for the chicken. The beef in the quesabirria also needed the fat trimmed/removed. I'm not against a little fat (adds flavor), but I don't expect big chunks.I would give it one more try. It may have just been an off day with the flavors.
