We went to this restaurant with a Romanian friend, so we were expecting authentic food. Everyone else dining in the restaurant was Romanian as well, which was a positive sign. This was my first experience trying Romanian cuisine, and I was impressed. We enjoyed dishes such as aubergine salad, bean soup with smoked pork, stuffed peppers, pork schnitzel, Romanian sausages, and papanasi. All the dishes were delicious and we were very full! The service was also good, and they even gave us a complimentary papanasi.
The service at this restaurant is extremely poor. The staff took our order and we waited for one hour for our food. We eventually decided to leave, and one of the employees was very rude when we canceled our order. We do not recommend this restaurant.
Located in Burnt Oak, right on the main Edgware Road, Edg is a must-visit for lovers of authentic Romanian cuisine. The food was delicious, with a good selection of dishes to choose from. However, make sure you know what you are ordering as the menu may be unfamiliar to some. This restaurant is popular among native Romanians, with waiters who may assume you are one as well and try to speak to you in Romanian. Overall, it was a nice dinner but may not be the best choice for those seeking a more European menu. Prices are fairly cheap, but parking is only available in the evenings and on weekends.
One of the employees from the kitchen was acting like the customers are losers and he is perfect, calling them loser even if some of them were sitting at the table. I wonder what would hapen if “the losers” wouldn’t come into this restaurant and how would he be paid. Too bad for the restaurant, cause with this kind of employees they will lose all the customers. Never come back!!!
