The castle is very suggestive and well maintained: the surviving parts have been preserved for centuries, with much respect for the environment. even the dirt aspect of some traits is really fascinating. from the walls you enjoy an exceptional view. interesting also the inserts of art and modern craftsmanship. the climb starts from the main square of the village and climbs steep, but it lasts a few minutes. In general, then many activities are organized and there is the possibility to drink or eat at the bar/restaurant located on the top.
Castle diroccato, offers a breathtaking view of the neighboring countries, inside there is a bar run by a very good and kind guy
Discovered by chance. I had a visit. deserves well-groomed.
Castle very well kept even if now only the walls remained. It was built at the time of federation the barbarians (1100 1200), then transformed into military fortress at the time of the Venetian republic (1400-1500) and finally, after the abandonment in 1598, reused as a quarry of stones. Inside the walls you can admire the remains of the church of San michele, of Lombard origin then enlarged in Romanesque period. beautiful walk that from Piazza guglielmo ghislandi leads to the castle (15 minutes walk). access is free and inside is the homonymous bar-restaurant. numerous cultural initiatives take place within the walls.
