Bidra med feedbackBought to table from manager and did not give any menus waited 10 minutes so someone came to us waiter and told us the kitchen is closed although we reserved and paid payment on open table. the waiter went to check with the kitchen, then came back and told us that they would serve us if we were thrown up (precise cake and probably discounted what the cook barked at her.) the menu was not the same as advertised on the open table no Italian dishes and basic bar eating only. we ordered appetizers and main thing and the waiter came back from the kitchen and told us that they all have to come together. afteros were rough. semi-melted mozzarella and some sauce from a glass and the fish was deep fried, but stained. burger was great. ordered more drinks and said we couldn't get them because they were out of ice. had to hear another angry table waiting for 30 minutes for her drink round, and another table waiting endlessly for bill, who finally took into her own hands and stood up and went after a manager. another table that asks articles on their bill. as if older employees/manager hang around the bar and nothing with face masks off or half, while the young employees tried their best. the floor manager (I think) let our bill off and everyone else is while we eat. last thing we ordered was a pint heineken and a prosecco. I had waited 30 minutes for prosecco to arrive from another part of the building and my wife just put it in her pocket and we went because we were already asked to settle. I'm sure the place is in the way better than this rating, but we caught it at the end of a very busy day. it was really wide.
Overall a lovely spot to eat. Service was pleasant. My mojito mocktail was not nice. Also I clearly asked to not to bring rice or chips with my curry as I won't eat them and don't want to waste food. Bowl of rice landed on my table few minutes after Went to the bin. Hate that. Curry was lovely though.
Booked Cafr Vergano for a birthday treat for my friend, table was on the terrace right beside the stairs so not very comfortable with people constantly passing by, also the table next to us was very close and not very private. We ordered nachos to start they were fine nothing exciting, as the menu was not that extensive we ordered two pizzas, they were very basic and we had to send one back as it was incorrect. Service was all over the place with one of the servers approaching us four times with the same drink that wasn't for us. Unfortunately I won't be rushing back for more.
We arrived on time and there was no body to seat us. We had to go inside and yelled hello twice because the staff were busy chatting to each other. We were told that there will be 15 to 20 minutes delay with our food as there was a problem in the kitchen. We were still chewing our starter when the staff cleared our table telling us that our mains were on the way, leaving the used cutleries for us to reuse. I won't comment bad on the food but it was neither upto standard. Pinacolada was as good as shaved ice. Worst is I was charged 10 euros for a no show and it was so easy for them to say that it was a mistake. Refund was made but it had already caused me and my husband a good degree of disappointment. No wonder the whole place was near empty despite the beautiful weather. The place should be managed better with better trained crews if only to recover from this pandemic loss.
Food was fresh and tasty. Efficient and effective service.
