Cafe Britannia - Braunschweig

Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das englische Frühstück war sehr lecker! Wollten im Urlaub mal eine neue Location versuchen und kommen gerne wieder!

My mum, dad and myself happened across Cafe Britannia end route back to the car. Seeing the board with the menu caught our eye, and we ventured in.The meals were of generous portions, a really good selection, and once ordered arrived on our table within a few minutes. My dad is gluten free , which is not catered for. He ordered an omelette. I am vegetarian, but there was still a selection on offer. My mum had a toastie with a salad.We were all impressed with the speed of service, value for money, selection on offer and the meal portions. We all enjoyed our meals and would recommend this venue to others.The staff were efficient and friendly.

Im Café Britannia bekommt man recht typisches englisches Frühstück serviert. Das Personal ist angenehm freundlich und das Essen ist sehr lecker.

We went for a special lunch. Presented with menu, no mention that anything was "not on". I chose the steak and Guinness pie - sadly not available anymore as "it's not popular" - take it off the menu!!! Menu says "ask for the wine list", no wine available!!! Please get a new menu. Eventually chose fish and chips, batter was OK but soggy on the inside. It looked like Pangassious which is a very cheap fish in Germany, for this price I would expect Kabeljau! We had read previous reviews and maybe our expectations were too high. Maybe stick to the breakfasts and high teas. While we were there a lady came in, and very politely and "Britishly"!! offered a recipe for Welsh Rarebit. Apparently she had had a Welsh Rarebit which was not and so was being helpful, no longer on the menu. We will not, sadly, visit again

Sehr freundlche Bedienung, häufig wechselndes Personal. Die Scones sind hervorragend, aber der Tee ist nicht zu empfehlen, da er nicht mit kochendem Wasser aufgekocht, sondern nur mit heißem Wasser aus der Espressomaschine übergossen wird. Daher wird der gute Teegeschmack geschmälert. Wir sind Teeliebhaber und leider schmeckte uns der der Tee leider gar nicht.
