Cafe A Brasileira Braga

It was very busy when we visited but the service was good despite this. The atmosphere was great and it's a perfect location. We only had a sharing plate which was ok and drinks which were good. I would go again and I would recommend as a good place to stop. The history is interesting too.

I have been to the site twice today. 1. Outside . Coffee with water. Very nice extravagant waitress. Super coffee and very good service. 2. For a late lunch. Ordered Chickenburger Salad and the local speciality Brazilian cod. Instead of poultry salad there was fish. Waiter, after unnecessarily proving me wrong, brought Chickenburger Salad. Cod ordered. A disaster. Not fresh fish and completely overdone additions of onions to the fish and garlic to the mashed potatoes from another turn. Waiter a disaster. Not recommended.

Wanted to have a good stake after going up Bom Jesus and A Brasileira went beyond my expectations. Very good food, excellent service, my 500 ml beer came in a heavy mug which kept it cold throughout my meal. A delightful dessert followed. As I talked with the waiter about local wines, he gave me a tasting of vinho Verde. This restaurant has 115 years and you can tell they know their business and how to satisfy.
