Started my walk to Bath from the cafe really friendly staff, coffee and breakfast bap /flapjack perfect and use of toilets before heading off.
Busy when we arrived. Kept us posted on situ as it evolved. When it came, our breakfast was both generous and excellent. What friendly obliging staff too. Lovely atmosphere. Interesting to watch the busy locks and to hear the stories of various travellers be it walkers Cyclists or boaters.. thoroughly enjoyable experience and hope to return soon. Thank you and full marks to all.
Lovely place with a garden and patio overlooking the canal Good food, scrummy cakes, nice drinks. Very limited indoor seating. Toilet available but not disabled . There is a Sainsbury's store in short driving distance with disabled loo. Parking at the canal car park....free for disabled but only two designated spaces. £2.50 for 4 hours seems reasonable. Easy access to canal and cafe from there.
I use this family run and dog-friendly cafe regularly and it is a haven of hot drinks and warm snacks on a cool day and delicious ice creams, cakes and cold drinks when it's hot. Very friendly staff and right by the water's edge it is ideal for watching life chug by at 4mph. Did I mention the cakes, they're worth a second mention!
