Delicious cupcakes and extremely friendly staff. Great stop on a rainy day!

Absolutely delicious! Had the snickedoodle cupcake and it was worth EVERY calorie

My nine year old daughter and I rushed over across town when we realized at 2pm that the store closed at 3pm. We arrived at 2:30pm to find completely empty shelves and display cases. There were a few cupcakes for sale, but everything else had clearly been stored away in anticipation of closing in 30 minutes. I told the young lady behind the counter that we had driven a good distance for their cookies and asked if there were any other options than cupcakes. I asked her where all the desserts were that were supposed to be in the displays. She told me that she didn’t have anything. My nine year old looked around in complete disappointment and asked “why were they featured on the news?” I specifically came across town to support a black owned business, but I couldn’t. There was nothing for sale during business hours. Utter waste of my time. Needless to say, I will not be coming back. There is too much competition out here to take our patronage for granted.Reply: Thank you for your response. The display cases were sanitized and there was no hint of any of your inventory in the cases. I understand low stock at the end of the day, but your stock was clearly put in storage and the cases were cleaned out and prematurely prepped for closing the store. I am shocked that you could characterize a first time patron’s effort to drive 30 minutes to support your business only to find no inventory as a tantrum. I was trying to support your business! You failed me as a customer! And even though you had nothing that I came to purchase, I still bought three cupcakes for $18 that I didn’t really want. So you’re welcome. And for the record, you’re giving unprofessional vibes with your reply and your empty bakery during business hours.

Everything about my experience here was wonderful. The sweet aromas and the courteous team members definitely created a pleasant experience. I initially came to pick up my surprise item offered on the Too good to go app. With that offer I received two red velvet cupcakes and a Oreo cupcake which both were yummy! But after smelling the sweet smells and viewing the different selections offered I just knew I had to try something else! I purchased the strawberry pudding and banana pudding which were both very delicious. The owner insisted that the biscoff cookie pudding was even better. She allowed me to try this selection and baby she was right! Definitely should give them a try if you are in the Bowie area!!!

I've waited in line for cupcakes that weren't even a fraction as good as yours are.The dessert junkie is easily my favorite dessert shop in the DMV and as someone who has had one too many baked goods in my life, I can say with certainty Dessert Junkie hits all the marks.The cupcakes are moist and fresh. The icing is somehow light and rich at the same time. The flavors are vast and unique.Would recommend 10/10!
