Harry Ramsden's - Bournemouth

So disappointed, we love the chips normally from here but unfortunately they were not cooked properly. We took them back and they immediately replaced them but they were exactly the same. I think they just need a bit longer in the fryer. The lady said after squashing one of them that they seemed ok but they were inedible!! We asked for our money back. It has put us off going back which is a shame as we have been good customers.

Had a day out to Bournemouth and had the Cod and chips with a cup of Yorkshire tea. Serving lady was lovely and polite, and helpful. Portions were large making it good value for money. Fish was lovely, no skin or bones and chips lovely too, very happy. Went on Friday 19th January at 3.30.

Living on their location, the takeaway food was awful, even basic chips were very dry with no taste. Served tepid. Overall poor quality will not go back

We received a warm professional greeting on entering the restaurant and soon found ourselves seated by a window looking out to sea The restaurant was warm, welcoming and extremely clean We ordered our lunch and drinks, which arrived quickly. Everything was cooked to perfection, batter crispy not fatty, chips fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, mushy peas were great too. We were checked on regularly by our server, but not to the point of intrusive. Very professional. Dessert was a joy to behold. I chose ice cream (needed something to finish the meal) and my husband went for the Eton Mess. It was enormous and had us in fits of laughter All in all, we had a lovely time, my husband was treated extremely well and it was a pleasure to be able to eat at the restaurant.

Going to Harry Ramsden's is always a great experience: the food is delicious, the service is pretty good and the place is very relaxing with great views over the sea; better in the summer than the winter though!
